About

About this creator

Based in Greenville, North Carolina

Creating since 2012

Entertainment, philanthropy, and large-scale challenges

Former NASA engineer. Current CrunchLabs founder and friend of science. Answers to some common questions: 1) I make a monthly toy we build together on a video, that gets delivered to your house that teaches you to think like an engineer. Check it out at CrunchLabs.com. 2) I studied Mechanical Engineering in school, did my undergrad at BYU and my Masters at USC. 3) I worked for NASA JPL for 9 years, 7 of which were working on the Curiosity Rover.

I make videos about why things work, what they should do, and the weird edge cases nobody can stop watching. Sometimes there are squirrels. Sometimes there are elephant toothpaste explosions. Usually there is a ridiculous amount of testing, iteration, and overthinking behind it.

Before becoming a full-time creator, I also worked at Apple in their Special Projects Group doing Product Design and Mechanical Engineering. These days I split time between big builds, educational storytelling, and turning giant ideas into videos people actually want to rewatch.
